Every year, the Royal Canadian Legion holds a contest inviting students from across the country to submit works of art, poetry and essays on the theme of remembrance. A panel of judges selects the winners in different categories (colour posters, black-and-white posters, poetry and composition) and age groups. The winning entries are displayed at the Canadian War Museum.
This contest is an example of the many ways Canadian youth harness their creativity to engage in remembrance activities and honour Canada’s veterans. These artworks were among the winning posters from the 2020 contest.
